Thank you!
The dedication was a great event! A big thank you to all of you that were able to come. It was quite windy and I’m sure some of you were cold.
A lot of photos were taken that day. We will post many on this site soon. We the committee, are quite proud of how great the Memorial came out. It was beyond our dreams. I’m sure you agree that it is the best Vietnam Memorial in the state, if not the country.
We are going to relax for awhile, but I’m sure you’ll catch us admiring the Memorial often.

The Dedication is on for Nov 11.
I don’t mind saying we are all quite proud of what we have accomplished in a relatively short time.
Last week the granite arrived and was installed. It was quickly covered up until the unveiling on Veterans Day at 11:00am. As of this writing, there is still much to do with the landscaping. But we are confident that Nick Jané will have everything perfect for that day.
About that day:
The Northbridge Middle School is providing a free breakfast for veterans from 7:30 to 9:30am. Thank you 8th grade.
If you plan to attend this event, I suggest that you arrive by 10:30am to find your parking spot. Refer to the home page for a list of street closures. Our hope is that this New England weather will cooperate with our plans. In any case, the dedication will go on as planned.
We anticipate that the entire event will last for one hour.
Porketta tomorrow
The porketta is on for tomorrow evening. Along with the great food, we will be holding a 50/50 raffle, selling our popular tee-shirts and we have a unique “lobster trap” chair to raffle off. Tickets for the chair are $2.00 each or 6 for $10.00. This will be drawn on October 11th. We hope to see you there!
Site Work Started
This morning Nick Jané Landscaping started work at the site of the memorial. Several small trees were removed. The old Vietnam Veterans Monument was also removed and will be in temporary storage before being moved to its new location in front of Veterans Hall.

Porketta Planned for Sept 30th.
Come to the Uxbridge VFW on Route 16 for a Porketta on Friday, September 30th. Tickets are on sale for $15.00 per person. The feast will start at 6:00pm and go until 9:00pm.
We will have Tee Shirts on sale for $15.00 each, with men’s and women’s sizes. This all is of course to raise more money for the Northbridge Vietnam Memorial which will be dedicated on 11/11/11.
Porketta Fundraiser planned.
Our Motorcycle Run was a great success! We had 100 motorcycles registered for what turned out to be a 93 mile course.
The weather was perfect for the riders. We want to thank all that participated. The after-ride refreshments and food at the VFW with New Bay Colony performing was icing on the cake.
Our next major fundraiser will be a Porketta feast at the Uxbridge VFW and is scheduled for Saturday October 1st. More details will follow, so watch for them!!
Motorcycle Run
On July 30th, there will be a 80 mile ride with a Police escort. This of course is to raise money for the memorial.

Pancake Breakfast May 29th
On Sunday May 29th, make plans to have a hardy breakfast with friends and family at the Uxbridge VFW. The VFW is located at 13 Cross Rd, next to the Police Station on route 16.
For a donation of $10.00 per person, you can fill yourself. If you are a World War II veteran, the meal is free.
The breakfast will be going from 8:00am to noon. Help build the Northbridge Vietnam Memorial – Honor Roll while you help yourself to a good breakfast.
Good day at WalMart
We did well today at WalMart. The weather cooperated with our fund raising. After a cloudy start, the clouds broke up and we ended up soaking in quite a bit of sun. We also was able to sell quite a few of our new Tee Shirts. The shirts will be available to purchase on our website along side the bricks we’ve been selling. The shirts are $20 and in men’s and lady’s styles.

WalMart fund raising
Tomorrow the committee will be at the Whitinsville WalMart to solicit donations for the memorial. Tee shirts will be on sale too. In the video, you see a couple of the lads taking the jeep for a spin. The jeep will be on display.
